PUNK IN THE SPIRIT OF 1977

To listen to short demo versions of songs from our debut album entitled "Upside Down" click on the song titles below. Please note these are not the finished mixes as heard on the CD, but they will give you a good idea of how the songs sound. See also album reviews.

1. - Fat Chick

A story of a night out ending in a drunken grope resulting in the embarrassment of waking up with a total stranger. Has it happened to you?

Full length live version (recorded at Tunbridge Wells Forum, 23 June 2007)

2. - Send in the Troops

We feel very stongly about this subject and how governments send their soldiers to further their political stature.

Full length live version (recorded at Tunbridge Wells Forum)

3. - Bastard

Three short stories of people you will love to hate

4. - Upside Down

A piece of fiction about being on the run.

5. - Paranoia

Inspired by the first line, "there's a baby screaming in the flat down below" I carried on to write about a few of the things that annoy me.

6. - Bin Laden

Many words have been said about "the worlds most wanted" but could he be an actor invented by the Yanks to gain world support in the war against terrorism?

7. - Made in China

Pick up ten household items and chances are they originate from the land of "rice and zen" Mass globalisation is not nessessarily a good thing. Does anyone rememember the "I'm backing Britain" campaign?

8. - Armchair 'arry

A story of a footie fan who only supports winning teams because he has nothing else in his life.

9. - Seventeen

Nostalgia ain't what it used to be, check out our lyric page.

10. - Jonny Holmes

A song that had to written. Jon is a Seaford Icon. The Crown will never be the same again.

11. - Evicted

What a bit of luck, Sheldon threatened with eviction, a juicy subject which inspired an overnight session to produce this classic.

Full length live version (recorded at Tunbridge Wells Forum, 23 June 2007)

12. - Speeding

Slow down, we all go too fast, either driving, working or leisure. Nothing whatever to do with amphetamines!

13. - Termination Day

The oldest song we do, written when the world was in panic over the threat of nuclear war. Things don't change much.

14. - 15 Minute War

This song means a lot to us, a good friend was lost in Iraq which inspired the final verse.

15. - Seaford Town

Originally recorded by "The Crouch Potatoes" we had to include this footie anthem to our local team.

16. - Tony Bliar

This was added very late and is not credited on the CD artwork. Like him or loathe him, Tony is now leaving the building.
